Film Processing
Processing films is almost a lost art. We have been processing C41 (colour negative) films and Black & White films for more that 30 years, so it's not lost to us.
Your films are processed on site with the care and knowledge of those 30 years experience.
You can choose to have your film processed only (developed to negative) or developed and printed, developed and scanned or both printed and scanned.
If you choose to include scanning, you can select to have the scans saved to USB, disk or to the Photo Barn Dropbox.
Whether printing or scanning, each image is expertly corrected for colour and density to give you the best results possible.
Scanned images are jpg files that open up to about 6mb each (2 -3 mb compressed). If you need larger file sizes, just let us know when you drop off your films.
Turn around time for your colour neg films, including single use cameras, is usually within a couple of hours.*

- Develop only 120 format film $15.95
Prints from 120 format films @ $1.50 per image. (The number of images will vary according to the format of your camera)
Scans from 120 format films will vary from $2.50 - $7.00 per image depending on your resolution requirements.
Black and White films are hand processed so take a bit longer.
We generally say to allow a week turn around.

We also develop the old 126 and 110 format films. Prices as per 120 format.
If you have E6 slide films, you may like to experiment with cross processing (also known as Xpro) to achieve some unusual creative results. Prices as above.
